SolaSpot is a growing Adelaide-based manufacturer of premium Australian-made solar house plaques, sold online and shipped to customers Australia-wide.

As our business continues to grow, we're looking for a friendly, organised and capable Customer Service & Fulfilment Assistant to join our team at our Parafield workshop.

This isn't a traditional reception role where you'll spend the entire day sitting behind a desk. You'll be the first point of contact for many of our customers while also helping with administration, order management and fulfilment when customer service is under control.

Your primary responsibility will be looking after our customers and making sure their enquiries are handled promptly, professionally and with genuine care.

You'll work alongside our production team, giving you direct access to the people actually manufacturing our products. This means you'll be able to provide customers with accurate information about their orders rather than simply passing enquiries between departments.

Your day will include:

• Answering incoming customer phone calls and providing friendly, helpful support

• Responding to customer emails and online enquiries

• Assisting customers with order status, delivery enquiries and product questions

• Checking orders and liaising directly with our production team when required

• Updating customer orders, internal records and production spreadsheets

• Assisting with straightforward replacements, refunds and customer service issues

• Following up customers when additional information is required

• Helping maintain organised customer and order records

• Packing, labelling and preparing completed orders for dispatch

• Assisting with general fulfilment and workshop support during quieter customer service periods

We're looking for someone who is naturally friendly, organised and confident dealing with customers.

You'll need to be comfortable speaking with customers on the phone and able to communicate clearly and professionally by email.

Ideally, you'll have:

• Previous reception, customer service or administration experience

• Excellent verbal and written communication skills

• A friendly and professional phone manner

• Strong organisational skills and attention to detail

• Good general computer skills and confidence learning new systems

• The ability to manage several tasks and priorities throughout the day

• A practical, hands-on attitude and willingness to help wherever needed

• The ability to work independently while also being part of a small team

Experience with ecommerce, Shopify, order management or fulfilment would be beneficial, but isn't essential. Training will be provided.

This is a varied role where you'll become an important part of the day-to-day operation of the business.

Rather than working in a large call centre or corporate office, you'll work from our clean Parafield workshop alongside the people manufacturing and dispatching the products you're helping customers with.
