Information Quality (IQ) is a leading Information and Data Management company supporting the Mining, Oil & Gas, New Energy, Utilities, Renewables, Infrastructure and Defence sectors. Specifically, IQ provides Information Management, Engineering Data Management, Engineering Design Systems, Asset Management and Operations Support services to Tier 1 Owner Operators running asset intensive businesses. Role
We are seeking an experienced Strategic Partnerships & Growth professional to identify, develop and convert new market opportunities and strategic relationships across the energy, resources, infrastructure and other asset-intensive sectors.
This is a commercially focused role that sits at the intersection of business development, strategic partnerships, client relationship management and technical solutions. You will be responsible for identifying where clients have challenges or investment priorities that align with our specialist digital engineering, asset management and asset intelligence capabilities, and then bringing together the right technical and commercial expertise to develop compelling solutions.
The role will involve a combination of new business development, strategic account growth, partnership development, market intelligence, cross-selling and proposal leadership. We are looking for someone who is comfortable opening doors, building relationships with senior stakeholders and turning conversations into qualified opportunities and ultimately new business.

Key Responsibilities:
Growth & Business Development
· Identify and qualify new business opportunities across target sectors, clients and service areas.
· Develop and execute agreed growth initiatives and contribute to the broader business growth strategy.
· Proactively identify opportunities for new client acquisition, market entry, service diversification and cross-selling.
· Develop a strong understanding of client business drivers, investment priorities, challenges and future requirements.
· Translate client needs into relevant technical and commercial opportunities.
· Build and manage a healthy pipeline of qualified opportunities through to conversion.
· Take ownership of early-stage opportunities and ensure effective handover into the delivery and opportunity management process.
New Client Development
Proactively identify and approach prospective clients using a consultative business development approach.
Develop tailored messaging and value propositions that resonate with the client's strategic, operational and commercial priorities.
Lead initial client conversations, capability presentations and early-stage opportunity discussions.
Qualify opportunities through understanding client needs, timing, budget and strategic alignment.
Engage appropriate technical subject matter experts to support client discussions and solution development.
Convert cold prospects into qualified leads and actionable opportunities.
Existing Client Growth
· Build relationships beyond immediate project contacts to develop a broader understanding of client requirements.
· Identify opportunities to expand existing engagements and introduce complementary services.
· Work with delivery and technical teams to identify opportunities arising from successful project outcomes.
· Develop structured client engagement plans and maintain relationships with multiple stakeholders within key accounts.
· Support the renewal, extension and evolution of existing scopes of work.
· Identify opportunities to broaden relationships across the wider client organisation.
Strategic Partnerships
Establish and maintain long-term relationships with strategic partners, technology providers, specialist consultants and complementary service providers.
Identify opportunities for co-delivery, referrals, joint pursuits and integrated solutions.
Develop partnerships that strengthen market capability, technology offerings and access to new clients or markets.
Represent the business at industry forums, conferences, networking events and strategic stakeholder engagements.
Maintain a strong network across relevant industry sectors and professional communities.
Market Intelligence
Monitor industry trends, client investment patterns, market movements and technology developments.
Identify emerging opportunities across areas such as:
Digital engineering
Asset management
Asset performance
Reliability
Information management
Predictive analytics
Digital transformation
Data and AI
Emerging asset intelligence technologies
Monitor competitor positioning and market activity.
Maintain a strategic target list of prospective clients, sectors and opportunities.
Provide market and client intelligence to support business strategy and decision-making.
Identify changing client needs and emerging service opportunities.
Solution Development & Proposals
Lead and coordinate the development of EOIs, RFPs, tenders, proposals and capability submissions.
Work with technical and delivery teams to develop solutions that address specific client requirements.
Bring together multiple technical disciplines and capabilities where an integrated solution provides greater client value.
Develop compelling value propositions, win themes and capability narratives.
Ensure proposed solutions are commercially viable and aligned with delivery capability.
Coordinate input from subject matter experts and ensure proposals are clear, compelling and client-focused.
Review and refine proposal content to ensure consistency, quality and impact.
Cross-Business Collaboration
Work collaboratively across technical, delivery and commercial teams to develop opportunities.
Identify opportunities where complementary capabilities can be combined to provide broader client solutions.
Facilitate introductions and coordinated client engagement between different capability areas.
Share market intelligence, client relationships and pipeline information to maximise opportunities.
Support broader go-to-market initiatives and strategic growth programs.
About you:
You will be a commercially minded business development, strategic partnerships or growth professional with a proven ability to build relationships, identify opportunities and convert them into revenue.
You will ideally have:
Demonstrated experience in business development, strategic partnerships, commercial growth or a similar client-facing role.
Strong understanding of energy, resources, infrastructure, utilities or other asset-intensive industries.
A proven track record of developing relationships with senior client stakeholders and decision-makers.
Experience selling professional, technical, engineering, consulting or technology-enabled services.
Strong commercial acumen and experience developing and negotiating proposals and commercial submissions.
The ability to understand complex client requirements and translate them into practical service solutions.
Experience managing opportunities through the business development and sales lifecycle.
Strong proposal and presentation skills.
Excellent communication, influencing and negotiation capability.
A highly collaborative approach, with the ability to bring together technical specialists and commercial stakeholders.
A proactive and accountable approach to identifying and pursuing opportunities.
The confidence to challenge conventional thinking and identify new approaches to growth.

You do not need to be a technical specialist in these areas. What is important is your ability to understand technical services, recognise client needs and connect those needs with the right solution. Familiarity with asset management, digital engineering, information management, reliability, inspection, data/AI or adjacent asset intelligence services is considered desirable.
