The Role
This is a hands-on role, ideal for someone who is eager to learn, flexible with tasks, and ready to support a close-knit team.
Based at Seven Hills, you will be responsible for safely processing, sorting, loading and unloading scrap metal and recycling materials while maintaining a strong focus on housekeeping, customer service and safe work practices.
Your day-to-day responsibilities will be varied and can include:
Manual processing and sorting of various scrap metalsPreparing materials for resaleMaintaining site cleanliness and safetyProviding friendly and professional customer serviceOperating hand and power tools (e.g. drills, grinders)Loading/unloading trucks using forklift or excavator
About You
To be successful in this role, you’ll need to be:
Reliable and punctualPhysically fit and capable of manual labourPresentable, with a professional attitudeA team player with the ability to also work independentlySafety-conscious and proactiveHolding a current forklift licence (required)Ability to pass pre-employment medical and ongoing drug and alcohol testing.
Desirable (but not essential):
VOC for excavator operationTruck licenceWelding or other trade experiencePrevious experience in a waste or recycling environment
