Recruitment Officer

Simmons Civil Pty Ltd is seeking a Recruitment Officer to join our team on a part-time basis (20 hours per week, school hours with one later day for interviews). Based in Gladstone, QLD, this role is pivotal in supporting our organisation's talent acquisition strategy and ensuring we attract and retain the best candidates to drive our business forward.

Key responsibilities

• End-to-end hiring: Sourcing and attracting qualified candidates through multiple channels

• Candidate screening: to identify candidates who meet the essential criteria for vacant positions and conduct initial telephone interviews to assess candidates

• Coordination: schedule and confidently interview candidates

• Preparing job descriptions and recruitment documentation in collaboration with managers

• Onboarding: Processing offer documentation and supporting the onboarding process for successful candidates

What we're looking for

• 2+ years' experience in HR or recruitment, currently studying HR or holds relevant qualification

• Strong knowledge of best practice recruitment, employment law compliance and equal opportunities principles

• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to engage with candidates

• Proficiency with recruitment technology platforms

• Excellent organisational skills with the ability to manage multiple vacancies and candidate pipelines simultaneously

• Ability to handle multiple processes, meet deadlines and work with minimal supervision
