• Salary range: $107,275 - $121,732 (plus 15.4% superannuation)

We are seeking experienced APS6 Human Resources professionals with demonstrated experience managing complex employee relations and workforce case management matters, combined with generalist or HR business partnering experience, to join a highly collaborative and high-performing team. In this role, you will provide high-quality HR advice and support across a broad range of workforce matters, and leadership levels, contributing to the delivery of people-focused solutions to support agency priorities.  The role may suit an experienced HR case manager or HR business partner with case management experience seeking a varied opportunity.

You will manage complex and sensitive employee matters, including performance and conduct, early intervention, rehabilitation, and return-to-work case management. Working closely with personnel security, psychology services, managers and employees you will provide practical, solutions-focused advice and apply relevant legislation, policies, and procedures to support sound decision-making and positive workplace outcomes.

This is a varied and dynamic role requiring strong stakeholder engagement, communication, analytical and problem-solving skills, sound judgement, and the ability to manage competing priorities in a dynamic environment. You will deliver practical HR advice that supports effective people management and positive workplace outcomes.

As a APS6 Human Resources (Generalist) Case Management, you will:

• Lead and coordinate complex case management matters relating to performance management, employee conduct, workplace complaints, rehabilitation and return-to-work, and other employee relations issues. Assess complex situations, identify risks, develop practical solutions, and provide clear recommendations that support both business needs and employee outcomes.
• Collaborate across the HR function, personnel security and psychology services to achieve case management outcomes.
• Provide specialist HR expertise to support organisational objectives and research, develop and review HR policies, procedures, and guidance material, identifying opportunities for continuous improvement and promoting consistent people management practices.
• Provide timely and accurate advice to managers and employees on a broad range of human resource matters, ensuring compliance with relevant legislation, policies, and best practice.
• Build and maintain productive relationships with internal and external stakeholders, influencing outcomes and fostering collaboration to achieve strategic workforce priorities.
• Collaborate across the HR function to share knowledge, support colleagues, and drive the successful delivery of business and workforce outcomes.
• Analyse complex workforce issues, identify risks and provide practical, evidence-based solutions that balance organisational and employee needs.
• Exercise sound judgement and autonomy in managing competing priorities, delivering quality outcomes in a dynamic and evolving environment.

To be successful in this role you will need to demonstrate:

• Demonstrated experience managing complex workforce and employee relations cases, including performance management, workplace complains, and return to work matters, preferably within the Commonwealth sector.
• Proven experience in a generalist HR, workforce management or HR business partnering role.
• Sound knowledge of industrial relations legislation, policies, and procedures. 
• Strong analytical and problem-solving skills, with the ability to provide practical and strategic advice on case management matters.
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to build effective relationships and influence stakeholders.
• High level of integrity, professionalism, and discretion in dealing with sensitive and confidential information
