Throughcare Business Officer

Support our multidisciplinary Throughcare teams by ensuring the smooth operation of offices across the Northern Territory while providing high-quality administration, procurement, reporting and business support.

Kunga Program Business Officer

• Location | Alice Springs

Support the Kunga Stopping Violence Program, an intensive, culturally safe and trauma-informed throughcare program that works alongside Aboriginal women before and after their release from prison to improve safety, wellbeing and reduce reoffending.

This is a women identified position and is a special measure under section 7D of the Sex Discrimination Act 1984 (Cth). Applications are open only to people who identify as women.

We’re looking for organised, motivated and community-minded Business Officers to join our growing Throughcare team. These are fantastic opportunities for people who enjoy administration with purpose, supporting programs that create real change for Aboriginal people involved in the justice system.

Whether you’re looking to support our territory Throughcare Program or our specialist Kunga Stopping Violence Program for Aboriginal women, you’ll become part of a passionate team committed to reducing reoffending, strengthening communities and supporting people to rebuild their lives.

As a Business Officer, you will:

• Provide high-quality administrative support to a busy frontline program.
• Coordinate travel, accommodation, meetings and office logistics.
• Maintain accurate client records and data.
• Support procurement, purchasing and asset management.
• Assist with onboarding new employees.
• Help ensure offices, vehicles and equipment operate efficiently.
• Contribute to quality assurance, reporting and continuous improvement.
• Work closely with program staff and external stakeholders.
• Support culturally safe service delivery for Aboriginal communities.
• Be part of a collaborative team making a genuine difference.

Senior (CCSS Level 3) Business Officers will also assist with quality assurance, service reporting, project coordination and process improvement initiatives.

We’re looking for people who have:

• Excellent administration and organisational skills
• Strong attention to detail
• Experience using Microsoft Office (Word, Excel and Outlook)
• The ability to manage competing priorities
• Excellent communication and customer service skills
• Experience working with confidential information
• Cultural capability and the ability to work respectfully with Aboriginal people, families and communities
• A current Driver Licence
• Ability to obtain an Ochre Card

Business Administration qualifications or equivalent experience will be highly regarded.
