Disability Support Worker

About the role

Indigo Rose Community Services are looking for Support Workers to join our team. The role involves working with people with higher support needs and people who require personal care assistance.

Key responsibilities

• Support people with higher support needs including personal care assistance

• Work in a challenging and fast-paced environment

• Involve people in making decisions about their life

• Take into account each person's life experience, age, gender, culture, heritage, language, beliefs and identity

• Support and enable a person to build and keep control over their life

• Work as a team player and follow direction

• Deliver person-centered support tailored to the person's needs and unique circumstances

About you

• Motivated and enthusiastic

• Keen to work with people with higher support needs and people who require personal care assistance

• Good availability for shifts

• Able to work in a challenging and fast-paced environment

• Team player and able to follow direction

• Prior experience, qualifications or currently completing relevant studies will be highly regarded
