The project stems from the acquisition by a global PE firm of two companies from a third in a well established financial services company. The project is to carve out the two companies leaving three standalone companies.

General Background:

Architecture Design: Design and architect robust, scalable, and secure infrastructure solutions that meet the needs of the organization, considering factors such as performance, availability, and cost-effectiveness.
Infrastructure Implementation: Lead the implementation of infrastructure projects, including cloud-based solutions, network architecture, server infrastructure, storage systems, and virtualization technologies.
Security Planning and Implementation: Develop comprehensive security strategies and implement best practices to safeguard the organization's systems, data, and networks against potential threats and vulnerabilities.
Risk Assessment and Mitigation: Conduct risk assessments and vulnerability scans to identify potential security risks and develop mitigation plans to address them effectively.
Compliance and Regulatory Compliance: Ensure that the organization's infrastructure and security systems comply with relevant industry standards, regulations, and compliance requirements.
Incident Response and Disaster Recovery: Develop and maintain incident response plans and procedures to address security incidents effectively. Implement disaster recovery strategies to minimize downtime and data loss in the event of a system failure or cyber attack.
Collaboration and Communication: Collaborate with cross-functional teams, including IT, operations, and management, to understand business requirements and translate them into technical solutions. Communicate complex technical concepts effectively to non-technical stakeholders.
Continuous Improvement: Stay updated on emerging technologies, security threats, and industry best practices. Continuously evaluate and improve the organization's infrastructure and security posture to ensure ongoing effectiveness and relevance.

Qualifications:

Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or a related field. Master's degree preferred.
Minimum of 5 years of experience in infrastructure architecture, network design, and security architecture.
Strong knowledge of cloud computing platforms (e.g., AWS, Azure, Google Cloud) and infrastructure-as-code principles.
Proficiency in network protocols, routing, switching, and firewall technologies.
Relevant certifications such as CISSP, CCSP, AWS Certified Solutions Architect, or equivalent.
Excellent analytical, problem-solving, and decision-making skills.
Strong communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to work effectively in a collaborative team environment.

Logistics

Start date: The project will commence at 6 months duration and pending satisfactory performance continue for at least 1-3 years

There are three / four roles that are required in the short term - the fourth may be required later.

Location: Sydney (Remote possible for the right candidate)

Rate: The daily rate to the consultant will be $1,200 per day paid plus gst to the right professional.

Application Close date: No later than Monday 6th, May 2024, 4pm AEST

APT’s must be lodged within 48 hours. We will review all APT's and select the best 3 for the client. The client will then conduct interviews.
