Our work is commercial fit-out, commercial service and maintenance, and residential plumbing on our own developments. Long term clients, repeat work, and jobs that get planned properly before anyone picks up a tool.

We are hiring:

• Plumbers, fit-out and maintenance

• Apprentice Plumbers, 3rd and 4th year

What you get

• $45 to $55 an hour plus super and allowances, depending on experience and tickets

• award apprentice rates, reviewed every six months

The role: Plumber, fit-out and maintenance

This is not a job where you do the same thing every day. One week you are running a fit-out. The next you are chasing a fault in a plant room or working through planned maintenance on a client site. If you are the sort of plumber who gets bored doing one thing, this is the one.

On fit-out and our own residential developments:

• Reading and interpreting hydraulic plans

• Rough-in, fit-off, stack work and pipe installation

• Working in with the site supervisor and the other trades

• Clean, tidy work and finishes you would be happy to show someone

• Flagging anything that is not on the drawings the day you find it, not at handover

On service and maintenance:

Shopping centres, apartment buildings, retail tenancies and plant rooms across Melbourne's east.

• Diagnosing and fixing valves, pumps, TMVs, backflow devices, hot water units and leaks

• Running your own day and prioritising callouts around planned work

• Preparing Quotes on site

• Clear notes and photos in Simpro so the office can invoice without chasing you

• Optional on-call roster. Extra money, and you opt in rather than get volunteered.

You do not need to arrive across both. If you are strong on one side we will get you up to speed on the other, and you will be a better plumber for it.

The role: Apprentice Plumber, 3rd and 4th year

You get put with a tradesman who can actually teach, not parked on a shovel for two years.

• Hands on with drainage, stack work, rough-ins and fit-offs

• Exposure to both fit-out and maintenance, so you come out of your time able to do the lot

• Plan reading, materials prep and job sequencing explained, not assumed

• Trained on Simpro and SafetyCulture from day one

• Your tickets booked and paid for, not left up to you to organise

• Treated as part of the crew, not cheap labour

About you

• You turn up, you finish what you start, and you own it when something goes wrong

• Safety is not a form you fill in. Anyone here can stop unsafe work, from a first year to the owner, without asking permission.

• You can talk to a client without them ringing the office afterwards

• You want a career, not just this year's job

What you need for the qualified role:

• Victorian plumbing registration or licence, minimum 2 years out of your time

• White card

• Current driver's licence
