Position Overview We are seeking a highly trend-sensitive and data-informed Buying Consultant to drive our apparel product development. Your mission is to translate conceptual trends into highly commercial techpacks tailored to our young customer base.
Please note: This role focuses on front-end development (from concept to Techpack). This is initially a Consultant position, with potential to transition into a long-term consultant agreement or a permanent full-time role.
Key ResponsibilitiesCategory Ownership: Interpret macro-trends and develop competitive and commercially relevant apparel products for the allocated category/collection.Data-Driven Product Curation: Understand our young target audience. Utilize market data, customer behavior insights, and historical performance metrics to inform product direction. Ensure all developments align with the brand DNA while delivering a distinctive aesthetic and a unique point of view.Early-Stage Product Development: Deliverables focus on the front-end development, including Moodboards, style/fabric/color direction proposals, and Techpacks.Material & Trend Research: Conduct research to stay abreast of the latest developments in fashion trends, textiles, and fabrics, incorporating these insights into actionable development decisions.
Job Requirements Bachelor's degree in Fashion Merchandising, Fashion Design, Business, or a related field.5-10+ years of fast-fashion vendor buying or product development experience in apparel.Proven experience in apparel buying, focusing on customer preferences and market trends.Data analysis capabilities. Able to read, interpret, and leverage product and sales data to validate aesthetic choices and refine the product assortment strategy.Please submit your portfolio and CV when applying for the role.
