Experience the Bellingham Difference with our marine construction solutions. Bellingham Marine is seeking qualified Boilermaker/ Welder to join our professional team. We are looking for trustworthy individuals with integrity who will bring a positive can-do attitude to the position and to the team.
The role includes but is not limited to: Reading and interpreting blueprints and drawings: Fabricators must be able to understand technical drawings to determine the specifications of the project Measuring, marking, and cutting metal: Precision is crucial for accurate fabrication
Shaping and bending metal: Using various tools and techniques to achieve the desired form Welding and joining metal components: Employing different welding methods to fuse metal parts together Assembling fabricated parts: Putting together the various pieces to form the final product
Operating and maintaining machinery: Including shears, presses, flame cutters, and other specialized equipment Ensuring quality and accuracy: Inspecting finished products to meet specifications and standards Adhering to safety regulations: Working with heavy machinery and materials requires strict adherence to safety protocols regulations to prevent accidents and injuries in the workplace
To be considered for this role, you must have the following: Technical drawing interpretation: Ability to read and understand blueprints, drawing and schematics Welding expertise: Proficiency in various welding techniques (MIG, TIG, stick) is required.
Must have experience working with variety of materials, including steel, aluminum, and other alloys Knowledge of metal fabrication machinery: Familiarity with operating shears, brake presses, and other relevant equipment. Must also be familiar using range of hand and power tools, including grinders, drills, and cutting tools
Mathematical skills: Accurate measurements and calculations are essential Physical strength and stamina: Fabricators work with heavy materials and equipment Attention to detail: Ensuring accuracy and quality in every stage of the fabrication process.
Ability to conduct quality checks on completed work Problem-solving skills: Ability to troubleshoot issues that may arise during fabrication Safety awareness: Knowledge of and adherence to safety
