About the role
Do you love working outdoors and are interested in a career in landscaping? Or looking to take your apprenticeship to the next level?
We're looking for a Landscape Construction Apprentice (1st, 2nd, 3rd, or 4th year) to join the Ian Barker Gardens Landscapes team.

Ian Barker Gardens is an award-winning landscape design, construction, and garden maintenance company based in Canterbury, Victoria. We are looking for someone who:
Is passionate about landscaping, with a genuine eagerness to learn, develop new skills and grow within the industry
Works well as part of a team, supporting colleagues and contributing to a collaborative culture that delivers the best outcome for every client's garden
Takes ownership of their work, follows through on commitments and can be relied on to get the job done to a high standard, every time
Brings a professional, organised and efficient approach to all tasks and responsibilities
Communicates clearly and confidently, both written and verbal, with clients and colleagues alike
Has a current driver's licence and a reliable vehicle
Is currently completing, or willing to obtain, a Certificate III in Landscape Construction
Has previous experience working with power tools or working outdoors (preferred but not essential for 1st year applicants)
If in 3rd or 4th year, has experience working on high-end residential projects (preferred but not essential)
What you can expect your days to look like:
Constructing high-end residential spaces as part of the landscaping team
Learning and developing all landscaping skills (hard and soft), including:
Paving
Irrigation
Concreting
Retaining walls
Planting
Garden lighting

On-site training - all training is provided on-site with our landscape supervisors and registered training provider (no TAFE days)
