Apprentice Landscaper (1st, 2nd, 3rd or 4th Year)

We're looking for a Landscape Construction Apprentice (1st, 2nd, 3rd, or 4th year) to join the Ian Barker Gardens Landscapes team.

We are looking for someone who:

• Is passionate about landscaping, with a genuine eagerness to learn, develop new skills and grow within the industry

• Works well as part of a team, supporting colleagues and contributing to a collaborative culture that delivers the best outcome for every client's garden

• Takes ownership of their work, follows through on commitments and can be relied on to get the job done to a high standard, every time

• Brings a professional, organised and efficient approach to all tasks and responsibilities

• Communicates clearly and confidently, both written and verbal, with clients and colleagues alike

• Has a current driver's licence and a reliable vehicle

• Is currently completing, or willing to obtain, a Certificate III in Landscape Construction

• Has previous experience working with power tools or working outdoors (preferred but not essential for 1st year applicants)

• If in 3rd or 4th year, has experience working on high-end residential projects (preferred but not essential)

What you can expect your days to look like:

• Constructing high-end residential spaces as part of the landscaping team

• Learning and developing all landscaping skills (hard and soft), including:

  • Paving

  • Irrigation

  • Concreting

  • Retaining walls

  • Planting

  • Garden lighting
