Role
This role provides specialist psychiatry the Intellectual and Developmental Disability (IDD) support and clinical care to patients across inpatient and community settings and assumes overall responsibility for patient care. Services provided include:
Provides specialist services at Metro South Hospital and Health Service,Provides inpatient care, including participating in the on-call rosterUndertakes elective and/or emergency surgery / proceduresProvides inpatient consultations as requestedProvides outpatient consultationsParticipates in multidisciplinary clinics and meetingsSupervision and teaching of registrars, junior doctors and medical students, and teaching for other members of the multidisciplinary teamParticipation and or leadership of research and quality improvement activities
About You
Being a practitioner in the field of Intellectual and Developmental Disability.
Have demonstrated further professional development in the field of Intellectual and Developmental Disability. This may be achieved through self-guided learning as part of a professional development plan or through completion of a training program.
