About the role
Full Time or Part Time
Competitive Salary | Flexible Hours | Genuine Career Development | Purpose Built Paediatric Clinic
Are you an Occupational Therapist or Physiotherapist who loves working with children, wants to keep growing as a clinician and genuinely enjoys being part of a team?
Whether you’re an experienced paediatric therapist looking for your next challenge, a therapist wanting to make the move into paediatrics, or a new graduate ready to start your career with plenty of support, we’d love to hear from you.
Coastal Kids Therapy (CKT) is a multidisciplinary paediatric clinic on the Central Coast. Our team of 21 includes Occupational Therapists, Physiotherapists, Therapy Aides, Operations manager, Wellbeing manager, HR coordinator and an incredible Client Care Team, all working together to support hundreds of local children and families.
We’re moving into our new purpose built paediatric clinic in October 2026 and we’re looking for some wonderful OT's and Physio's to join us for 2027 to be a part of this exciting time!
We believe you should have a career you love and a life outside of it. Depending on your role and hours, we can explore:
Full time or part time positions
4 day working weeks, 8 or 9 day fortnights, Early finishes, Flexible scheduling, Flexi time, including opportunities to finish at the clinic earlier and complete appropriate work remotely later
Our CKT YOLO time, paid time to occasionally head off and do something you love
We know everyone’s version of balance looks different, so where we can, we work with our team to create schedules that fit their lives.
Clinical work requires more than the time you spend face to face with a client.
Our therapists receive dedicated admin time each day for notes, planning and other clinical responsibilities, as well as allocated time for requested reports.
We monitor caseloads and support new team members to build their caseload gradually.
Our goal is simple: when you finish work, we want you to be able to finish work.
We don’t just tell you support is available. We schedule it.
Depending on your career level, you’ll have access to:
Regular 1:1 clinical mentoring (weekly for new-grads; fortnightly for more experienced clinicians)
Fortnightly discipline specific OT or Physio training
Fortnightly multidisciplinary training
A dedicated clinical mentor
Our comprehensive onboarding and training program for your first 12 months with us filled with training videos, education and information to help you learn and grow
Professional development budget
Team professional development and external training
Support from senior clinicians and OT and Physio Team Leaders
If you’re newer to paediatrics, we’ll help you build your skills and confidence gradually rather than expecting you to know everything on day one.
Not everyone wants the same career and that’s okay.
We’ve developed different career pathways based around what matters to our team members, including clinical development, leadership and management, special interest and portfolio roles, higher income pathways, family and lifestyle pathways, and travel and flexibility pathways.
You’ll also have regular Alignment Sessions with a Team Leader to talk about your goals, development, feedback and where you’d like your career to go next.
There isn’t just one definition of success at CKT.
Culture is a huge part of CKT.
Throughout the year you’ll find us having team lunches, birthday celebrations, culture days, scavenger hunts, Annual partner challenge, Annual Easter challenge, Socktopia, team competitions and probably some slightly ridiculous activities we haven’t invented yet.
We also have our CKT Recognition Program, where team members can earn and give other team members points and redeem them for things like experiences and gift cards
Our long term recognition program increases benefits as you grow with CKT, including increased professional development allowances, professional registration and insurance benefits, and increased reward opportunities.
We really value the people who choose to build their careers with us.
In October 2026, we’re moving into the purpose built paediatric clinic we’ve been dreaming about for years.
It’s been designed specifically around the experience of our children, families and our team, with spaces and equipment that make therapy engaging, functional and fun.
You’ll have access to our dedicated sensory room, Physiotherapy and rehabilitation spaces, outdoor therapy and play areas, functional kitchen, group spaces and extensive paediatric therapy equipment and resources.
Our Physiotherapy equipment includes our Spidercage, PediaSuit equipment, CME/DMI equipment, Funky Monkey Bars and technology and resources to support engaging therapy.
It’s a pretty exciting time to join CKT.
Your caseload will depend on your discipline, experience and clinical interests.
We work with children from babies through to teenagers and some young adults across a broad range of presentations.
Your role may include functional and play based assessments and interventions, supporting emotional regulation and sensory needs, building independence and daily living skills, supporting participation at home, school and in the community, coaching families with practical evidence informed strategies and working collaboratively with Physiotherapists and the wider CKT team.
You’ll also contribute to collaborative planning, case discussions and multidisciplinary care.
Your role may include working with babies, children and young people with developmental delays, neurological presentations, gross motor difficulties and musculoskeletal presentations, as well as children requiring support with strength, mobility, coordination and participation.
You’ll have access to our extensive Physiotherapy equipment and plenty of opportunities to develop your paediatric clinical skills.
Qualifications matter, but who you are as a teammate matters just as much to us.
You’ll probably thrive at CKT if you’re someone who:
Is genuinely kind and respectful: How we treat our children, families and each other matters enormously to us.
Is a real team player: You support your teammates, share knowledge and are willing to pitch in when something needs doing.
Is solution focused: We absolutely want you to speak up when something isn’t working. Some of our best changes have come from team feedback. We value people who can raise concerns constructively, communicate with the right people and help us find solutions
Is adaptable: CKT is growing and we’re always trying to get slightly better. That means our systems and processes sometimes need to evolve too. We’re looking for people who can adapt, ask questions and help us make new systems work
Takes ownership: You’re comfortable managing your time, following through on responsibilities, communicating when something needs attention and using your initiative. We don’t expect you to solve everything yourself and asking for help is encouraged, but we do value accountability.
Contributes to the culture they want to work in: Everyone has hard days. We don’t expect constant positivity. But we do believe culture is something every team member contributes to. We love people who notice the good, celebrate their teammates, show appreciation and take some responsibility for creating the workplace they want to be part of.
Wants to keep getting better: You don’t need to know everything. You do need to be willing to learn, receive feedback, reflect and keep developing. We’re always trying to make CKT a little better and we’re looking for people who want to grow with us.
To join us as an Occupational Therapist or Physiotherapist, you’ll need:
A Bachelor degree or higher in Occupational Therapy or Physiotherapy
Current AHPRA registration, or eligibility to obtain registration before commencing
Appropriate professional insurance
Permanent Australian working rights without restrictions
First Aid and CPR, or willingness to obtain them
Working With Children Check
Police Check
Great communication skills
A genuine interest in working with children and families
Paediatric experience is wonderful, but it’s not essential for the right person. We’re open to experienced clinicians, therapists transitioning into paediatrics and exceptional new graduates.
You won’t be thrown in the deep end.
Our 0 to 100 training program, scheduled mentoring and gradual caseload progression are designed to help you build confidence rather than expecting you to have everything figured out immediately.
For some new team members, we may also be able to offer a gradual commencement, such as beginning with fewer days before progressing into your agreed position.
We’re proud of what we’ve built at CKT, but we’re also very aware that the people we bring into our team will shape what CKT becomes next.
So we’re not simply looking for another OT or Physio.
We’re looking for people who want to contribute. People who care about their clients, support their teammates, appreciate flexibility and give it back, bring ideas, can have constructive conversations when things aren’t perfect, and want to help us keep building a workplace where great clinicians can do great work and still have a great life outside of it.
If that sounds like you, we’d genuinely love to meet you.
Check out our Instagram to see our team and what we get up to, and watch our team video to hear directly from some of the people who work here. We also highly recommend applicants to come join us in clinic post interview for a few hours so you can meet the team and see what we do, to see if it’s something you want to be a part of.
Email us your CV and cover letter at ••••@coastalkidstherapy.com.au addressed to Dannielle Bull including at least the following information:
Are you an OT or Physio, and what makes a workplace somewhere you genuinely want to stay and grow? (what things do you really want in a workplace)
Why do you want to work at Coastal Kids Therapy?
Interviews will commence Late September 2026.
We can’t wait to hear from you.
