Fuel Tanker Driver - Cairns

About us

Portsmith Fuel & Oil, a locally owned North Queensland company are seeking the services of suitably qualified Truck Driver on a full-time basis to join their team at their Cairns based Depot. _______________________________________________

Qualifications & experience

• HC/ MC licence.

• Previous experience as a truck driver; fuel experience preferred but not essential

• Bulk Dangerous Goods licence preferred

• An SLP passport preferred

• Attention to detail and the ability complete all required paperwork

• Good customer service and communication skills

• Previous experience with Fatigue Management desirable

• The ability to work weekends, early mornings and/or evenings

Tasks & responsibilities

• Completing daily pre-start checks on vehicles and equipment

• Complete logbook and fatigue management procedures

• Follow instructions from schedulers for daily duties, trip sheets and time-frames

• Develop positive relationships with customers

• Loading, transportation and delivery of fuels

• Ensure safety and compliance is adhered to at all times
