About the role

Support workers provide physical, emotional and practical support to the elderly or people living with disabilities. This is a rewarding job that is ideal for people who require flexibility with their hours and are looking for a meaningful way to make a difference in people’s lives.

What you will be responsible for

As a support worker for Leora Healthcare, you will be providing our clients assistance at home and in the community, such as:

• Transport
  

• Shopping
  

• Personal care
  

• Companionship
  

• Meal preparation
  

• Light housekeeping
  

• Social and community access
  

Your Care Coordinator will work with you to book shifts requiring services you’re most comfortable to provide.

Skills & Qualifications

• Great communication skills with care and empathy for people
  

• Able to drive and transport clients (desirable)
  

• Cert III or IV in Disability or Aged Care or other relevant qualifications (desirable)
  

• Complex care experience (desirable)
  

• Experience supporting clients with challenging behaviour (desirable)
