Job description:

We have an opportunity for a Project Controls Manager, BCCS to join our Development team in Perth on a 2-year fixed term contract, supporting a major project through a critical phase of delivery.

In this key leadership role, you will lead all project controls activities for the BCCS Project, providing the governance, insight and leadership required to support successful project delivery.

Working closely with project leadership and key stakeholders, you will be instrumental in driving project performance across cost, schedule, risk, contracts and reporting, ensuring the project is executed safely, efficiently and in line with business objectives.

Key responsibilities:

• Lead the project controls function across planning, scheduling, cost management, forecasting, risk management and reporting activities.
• Establish and maintain project controls systems, processes and governance frameworks to support effective project execution.
• Partner with project leaders to provide meaningful performance insights, accurate forecasting and recommendations that support informed decision-making.
• Manage contract and procurement activities, including contract strategy, tender processes, contract administration and change management.
• Develop and deliver clear project reporting that provides visibility of performance, opportunities and risks.
• Build strong relationships with contractors, joint venture partners, senior leaders and other key stakeholders.
• Lead, mentor and develop a high-performing team while fostering a culture of collaboration, accountability and continuous improvement.

What we're looking for:

We are looking for an accomplished leader who can confidently manage in a complex project environment, foster collaboration, and build strong relationships across technical, commercial and executive stakeholder groups.

You will bring:

• Experience leading project controls, project services or project management functions within large and complex project environments.
• Strong understanding of project controls disciplines including planning, scheduling, cost management, forecasting, risk management and contracts management.
• Commercial acumen and the ability to translate project performance data into meaningful business insights.
• Proven ability to influence stakeholders and drive outcomes across multidisciplinary teams.
• Excellent communication and relationship-building skills, with the ability to engage effectively across diverse teams and cultures.
• A collaborative leadership style with a focus on developing people and fostering high performance.
• A proactive, solutions-focused mindset with sound judgement and attention to detail.
• Project Management Professional (PMP) certification or a similar qualification will be highly regarded.
