Waiter Staff / Bartender

About the role

We are seeking enthusiastic and professional Waiter Staff and Bartenders to join a brand new modern Chinese restaurant at Burnside Village team on a casual basis. This is an excellent opportunity to be part of a dynamic hospitality environment where you will deliver exceptional service to our valued guests. Working at our Glenside SA location, you will contribute to creating memorable dining and drinking experiences whilst maintaining the highest standards of customer service and professionalism.

What you'll be doing

• Greeting guests warmly and seating them in accordance with restaurant procedures

• Taking food and beverage orders accurately and efficiently

• Serving food and drinks with attention to detail and presentation

• Preparing and mixing cocktails and other beverages to specification

• Managing the bar area, including stock rotation and cleanliness

• Processing payments and handling cash and card transactions

• Clearing and resetting tables promptly between services

• Maintaining a clean and organised work environment at all times

• Responding promptly to guest requests and resolving any concerns with professionalism

• Following all health and safety regulations and food handling procedures

• Collaborating effectively with kitchen and other front-of-house staff

• Supporting promotional activities and special events as required

What we're looking for

• Previous experience as waiting staff or bartending in a restaurant or hospitality venue

• Strong knowledge of beverages, cocktails and wine pairings (for bartending role)

• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills

• Chinese language skills (understanding) are a plus, but not essential

• Ability to remain calm and professional in a fast-paced environment

• Attention to detail and commitment to high standards of presentation

• Flexibility and willingness to work evening, weekend and public holiday shifts

• Current RSA (Responsible Service of Alcohol) certification or willingness to obtain it

• Food handling knowledge or relevant certification preferred

• A positive attitude and genuine passion for delivering outstanding customer service
