Yard Supervisor- Bell Bay

• Lead and support the team by coordinating daily activities, allocating work and ensuring tasks are completed safely and efficiently.
• Drive productivity and continuous improvement by identifying opportunities to improve the way we work and making sure the yard operates effectively.
• Lead by example on safety, ensuring you and your team follow our safety, health, environment and community requirements.
• Build a positive team culture by supporting teamwork, inclusion, employee engagement and positive workplace relationships.
• Deliver great customer service, building strong relationships with customers and ensuring their needs are met.
• Work closely with the Yard Manager to support the smooth day to day operation of the yard and achieve business goals.
• Comply with all Sims Metal policies, standards and procedures relevant to the role.

• Leadership skills with the proven ability to motivate, support and get the best out of a team.
• Proven experience in machine operating, including forklift and excavator.
• A strong safety mindset and commitment to creating a safe workplace.
• Good communication and people skills, with the confidence to work with employees, customers and other stakeholders.
• A practical, hands on approach, with a focus on getting the job done safely and efficiently.
• Strong organisation and time management skills, with the ability to prioritise and work independently.
• A willingness to learn and develop, with the drive to grow your career with Sims Metal.
• Basic computer skills, including Microsoft Office.
