Due to ongoing project requirements, we are seeking experienced and motivated personnel to operate site-based Annex Laboratories on a FIFO/DIDO basis.

About the Role

The successful candidate will be responsible for the day-to-day operation of an Annex Laboratory at mining and processing sites. The role includes conducting laboratory testing, sample preparation, quality assurance activities, and maintaining compliance with NATA, site, and CTQS procedures.

This position offers ongoing work opportunities dependent on project requirements and operational demand.

Key Responsibilities

• Operate and maintain an Annex Laboratory in accordance with CTQS and client procedures

• Conduct sampling, preparation, and testing activities

• Perform laboratory analysis and ensure accurate recording of results

• Maintain laboratory equipment and perform routine calibrations/checks

• Ensure compliance with NATA requirements and quality management systems

• Complete reporting and documentation accurately and within required timeframes

• Maintain high standards of housekeeping and workplace safety

• Liaise professionally with site personnel and CTQS management

• Assist with audits, quality control, and continuous improvement initiatives

• Work independently in remote environments while maintaining operational efficiency

Essential Requirements

• Current NUC (Nuclear Gauge) Licence

• Previous laboratory experience within the construction, mining, or resources industry

• Ability to work FIFO/DIDO rosters in remote locations

• Strong commitment to safety and quality standards

• Good communication and organisational skills

• Ability to work autonomously and manage site responsibilities

• Current driver’s licence

• Construction sampling and testing experience

Desirable Qualifications & Experience

• Previous Annex Laboratory experience

• NATA Signatory status or experience operating within a NATA-accredited environment

• Supervisor or leading hand experience
