The Role
As an Emergency Safety Officer, you will play a critical role in ensuring the safe and effective delivery of emergency response capabilities at Osborne. This position operates on a rotating shift roster covering 24 hours a day, 7 days a week. Flexibility and reliability are essential.

Location
Osborne Naval Shipyard, SA - land based.

Essential Qualifications

• PUAFIR207 - Operate Breathing Apparatus Open Circuit
• RIIWHS202E - Enter and work in confined spaces
• PUAFER008 - Confine small emergencies in a facility
• MSMWHS217 - Gas Test Atmospheres
• RIIWHS204E - Work Safely at Heights
• HLTAID014 - Advanced First Aid & CPR
• CPCCWHS1001 - White Card
• Intermediate Fire Fighting including:
• PUAFIR203 - Respond to Urban Fire
• RIIERR201E - Conduct Fire Team Operations and 
• RIIRIS201D - Conduct local risk control  
• National Police Clearance (issued within the last 3 months)
• Australian Citizenship
• Currently hold or ability to gain NSSIC
• Currently hold or ability to gain NV1 security clearance

Bonus Skills and Qualifications

• Certificate III in Public Safety or Certificate III in Emergency Response and Rescue 
• Advanced Firefighting 
• Defence or maritime experience
