Machinist, Fitters and Mechanics

A & O Engineering Pty Ltd, a Townsville based manufacturer, is seeking competent Machinist, Fitters and Mechanics to join their tight knit group. You will be working with a team incorporating machinists, fitters and boilermakers.

We are currently looking for qualified people with the right attitude and skills to further our growth in the industry. 

Age is no barrier and brand new tradesmen are encouraged to apply.

You will be required to pass drug tests and other site requirements. 

Work will be mainly in the Townsville area. We do have occasional project work for site fitters as well.

Machinist ideally will have:

• Advanced machining skills (small and large scale)

• Possess a high attention to detail

• Ability to understand engineering drawings

• Flexible and adaptive attitude

• CNC experience would be advantageous but not essential

Fitter applicants ideally will have:

• Ability to think outside the square

• Flexible and adaptive attitude

• Able to work well in a team environment

• Welding skills will be advantageous

• Current EWP, CS and W@H desirable but not essential

Mechanic applicants ideally will have:

• Ability to think outside the square

• Flexible and adaptive attitude

• Able to work well in a team environment

• A want to move into the area of large industry

• No vehicle work
