Storeperson - Steel Industry

Southern Steel Supplies Pty Ltd, part of the Southern Steel Group—Australia’s largest privately-owned steel distributor—is a dynamic leader in the steel industry, offering a comprehensive steel distribution service throughout NSW.

We are seeking a Storeperson to join our team in Wollongong. Working in a fast-paced environment, your main duties will include the warehousing and distribution of steel products, including picking orders, loading and unloading of trucks, stacking materials, and operating forklifts.

Please note: This position requires you to rotate between day and afternoon shifts as required. All relevant loadings and allowances will be included.

What we are looking for

• Previous experience in a warehousing or similar industry

• Knowledge of the steel industry and/or overhead crane experience (preferred but not essential)

• A forklift licence (preferred but not essential)

• Good communication skills

• The ability to follow instructions and work effectively as part of a team

• A strong work ethic and a willingness to learn
