About the role
Delve Pty Ltd, on behalf of our client Urban Camp, is seeking expressions of interest from experienced professionals to join the Urban Camp Board as a Non-Executive Director (Volunteer).
Urban Camp is a well-established not-for-profit organisation that has been creating memorable educational experiences for young people for more than 40 years. Located in Melbourne's Royal Park, Urban Camp provides affordable accommodation and immersive urban learning experiences for schools, community groups and other organisations, enabling thousands of young people each year to explore Melbourne, build confidence and create lasting memories.
As Urban Camp embarks on an exciting period of strategic growth, including a significant expansion of its accommodation facilities and services, we are seeking an experienced Non-Executive Director to join our Board.
This is an opportunity to make a meaningful contribution to an organisation with a strong social purpose while helping guide its future growth and long-term sustainability.
As a Non-Executive Director, you will work collaboratively with fellow Directors and the Chief Executive Officer to provide strategic leadership, oversee organisational performance, ensure effective governance and support Urban Camp's continued growth and long-term sustainability.
You will contribute to Board discussions, provide strategic oversight and constructive challenge, monitor organisational performance, assist in shaping strategic direction and help ensure Urban Camp continues to deliver meaningful outcomes while remaining financially sustainable and well positioned for future opportunities.
To complement the skills and experience of our existing Board, we are particularly interested in candidates with senior executive or leadership experience in one or more of the following areas:
Whether you are an experienced Non-Executive Director or a senior executive seeking your first board appointment, we welcome applications from individuals who can bring strategic thinking, commercial insight and a commitment to good governance.
Previous board experience is highly regarded.
Completion of the Australian Institute of Company Directors (AICD) Course or equivalent governance training is also highly regarded.

This voluntary role requires an average commitment of approximately 4–6 hours per month.
