About the role
The Australian and New Zealand Intensive Care Foundation is at the forefront of improving critical care for patients across Australia and New Zealand. We are a not for profit organisation dedicated to raising funds for vital clinical research and the education of healthcare professionals. Our work directly impacts the lives of thousands of critically ill patients, with the ultimate goal of increasing survival rates and enhancing the quality of life for ICU survivors.
We are seeking a voluntary Non-Executive Director (Finance) to join our Board and Executive Committee. This is an exciting opportunity for an experienced finance or accounting professional to use their skills to support a purpose driven organisation making a real difference to patient care.
Working closely with the Treasurer, you will support the Foundation's financial operations and reporting, enabling the Treasurer to focus on strategic financial oversight, governance and Board leadership.
As a member of both the Board of Directors and the Executive Committee, you will contribute to the Foundation's strategic direction while providing practical financial expertise to support sound financial management and decision making.
Key responsibilities include:
The Board meets approximately six times per year via teams, with monthly Executive Committee meetings held between Board meetings.
