About the role
Reporting to the Head Chef and Sous Chefs, this position drives excellence in all aspects of food preparation and service, while contributing to the overall efficient operation of the kitchen. The successful candidate will work with a variety of internal stakeholders to ensure food quality and consistency throughout the venue, while meeting food safety and sanitation standards daily.
Key responsibilities
Food preparation in accordance with restaurant procedures and guidelines
Food services duties during the operational hours of the restaurant and any required function catering
Maintenance of kitchen and food service storage area cleanliness and organisation
Minimising wastage through conscious food preparation methods and goods security
Ensuring efficient stock rotation to ensure food quality is maintained
Enforcing safety and sanitation standards in the kitchen
Adhere to WHS policy and procedures
Any other duties as listed in the PD for the role, or as directed by Management
About you
Certificate III in Hospitality (Commercial Cookery) (Qualified Chef only)
Minimum of two (2) years' experience in a kitchen role
A team player, who can lead by example and contribute to the motivation of the team, encouraging a positive culture
Excellent interpersonal skills, including the ability to communicate in a clear and concise manner
Flexibility and availability to work around a varying roster, including evenings, weekends, and public holidays
Someone with a passion for food trends who is constantly looking at opportunities for professional development
