DIESEL MECHANIC

Zammit Transport is a family-owned and operated business that has recently expanded, opening a second location in Tottenham. With our continued growth, we are currently looking for qualified mechanics to join our team.

About the role 

• Diagnose and coordinate the maintenance and repairs of all Prime Movers in our fleet. 

• Perform both major and minor services.

• Onsite and offsite emergency repairs, and breakdowns.

• Complete accurate job cards/ documentation of tasks.

• Carry out all work in a safe manner in accordance with OH&S and NHVR regulations.

• Good Pay

This position is full-time, morning and afternoon shift, with overtime and weekend work.

Qualifications

• A diesel mechanic trade certificate is required.

• Must have a current Australian driver license.

• Current forklift license preferred, but not essential.

• MR/HR truck license preferred, but not essential.

• Proven previous experience working with heavy vehicles.

• Good communication and organizational skills.

• Reliable and motivated with the ability to work under pressure.

• Work within a team and independently.

• Have a sound understanding of safe work practices.
