Role Description This contract Occupational Therapist role is a hybrid position based in Melbourne, VIC, with a mix of onsite visits and work-from-home responsibilities. Day-to-day tasks include assessing clients’ functional abilities, developing individualized treatment and intervention plans, and implementing therapy programs to improve participation in everyday activities at home, school, work, and in the community. The Occupational Therapist will provide rehabilitation services, recommend assistive equipment or environmental modifications, and collaborate with families, carers, and other health professionals to ensure coordinated care. The role may involve working with pediatric and adult clients, preparing clear documentation and reports, and contributing to service improvement initiatives and case discussions. Regular communication with clients and stakeholders, maintaining accurate clinical records, and adhering to professional and regulatory standards are core aspects of the position.
Qualifications
Strong capabilities in Occupational Therapy, including assessment, intervention planning, and delivery of evidence-based rehabilitation.Foundational understanding of Medicine and health conditions relevant to functional performance and daily living.Experience in Rehabilitation, including goal-setting, progress monitoring, and promoting independence across varied settings.Effective Communication skills to engage with clients, families, carers, and multidisciplinary teams in a clear and respectful manner.Experience or interest in Pediatrics, including supporting children and young people in home, school, and community environments.Recognized qualification in Occupational Therapy and current registration or eligibility for registration with the relevant professional board.Knowledge of local healthcare systems, community services, and NDIS or similar funding frameworks is advantageous.Ability to work autonomously in a hybrid environment, manage time effectively, and maintain accurate clinical documentation.
