HSE Coordinator

Position Purpose

To support the WHSE Advisor in maintaining a safe, healthy, and compliant workplace at BAC’s Somersby manufacturing facility through the proactive identification of hazards, promotion of safe work practices, monitoring of frontline compliance, and coordination of WHSE reporting, administration, and continuous improvement initiatives. Working closely with operational teams, this role contributes to fostering a positive safety culture while ensuring legislative and company safety requirements are effectively implemented and maintained.

What you will bring to the BAC Team

• A genuine passion for workplace health, safety, and employee wellbeing
• Experience identifying hazards, assessing risks, and driving positive safety outcomes within a manufacturing or construction environment
• Strong knowledge of WHS legislation, compliance requirements, and safety management systems
• Excellent communication and stakeholder engagement skills, with the ability to influence safe behaviours at all levels of the organisation
• A proactive approach to continuous improvement, incident prevention, and fostering a positive safety culture
• Experience supporting safety training, inductions, incident investigations, contractor compliance, and WHS initiatives
• Relevant WHS qualifications, including a Certificate IV in Work Health and Safety (or higher)
• Strong organisational and administrative skills, including proficiency in Microsoft Office
• Demonstrated behaviours that align with our core values of Courage, Innovation, Responsibility, and Trust

Highly regarded: HSR training, First Aid and Mental Health First Aid qualifications, Certificate IV in Training and Assessment, and experience in contractor management, project implementation, and drug and alcohol screening programs.
