Field Service Mechanic

Tareve Transport & Heavy Haulage is a family-run Australian haulage and transport business based in Queensland, offering nationwide services across mining, quarries and general freight sectors. We specialise in bulk material haulage, heavy haulage and container transport & logistics — backed by strong safety systems (NHVAS & WAHVA accredited), and a commitment to professionalism and reliability.

We’re looking for an experienced FIFO Field Mechanic (Road Transport) to maintain a small fleet of Kenworth quad side tipper combinations based in the Kalgoorlie region.

This role suits someone who knows their trade and wants the autonomy to run their own jobs, without being micromanaged.

The role

• Maintain and service a fleet of 5–8 Kenworth quad combinations

• Carry out servicing, repairs, and fault finding

• Keeping accurate records for compliance

• Work independently while being backed by a supportive team

About you

• Qualified Truck Mechanic

• Confident working independently, capable and take ownership of your work

• Familiar with Kenworths and side tippers (preferred)

• Reliable, safety-focused, and take pride in your work

• Option for MC Licence applicants to get behind the wheel and fill in while drivers are on break

• Field service experience preferred but not essential

• Experience using Gearbox to record repairs and maintenance an advantage
