National Account Manager

As National Account Manager for one of our major retailers you will report to the National Business Manager – Coles and together will drive account growth, strategically and commercially delivering great outcomes for our customer and Inghams.

We are open to applicants from Sydney or Victoria (our VIC sites are located at Somerville, Thomastown and Truganina).  This is an initial 12-month contract with potential for the position to go permanent.

Key responsibilities:

• Execute the strategic goals and objectives as part of an annual joint customer business planning process
• Build promotional programs in partnership with Coles that ensure the right commercial outcomes
• Deliver on budgeted volume, revenue and GM targets
• Develop and nurture key relationships with cross functional teams including operations, farming, category, marketing and NPD to drive and deliver on the JBP
• Analyse consumer data to make informed decisions on ranging/ product gaps, commercials and NPD
• Own and deliver the demand plan through working collaboratively with customer & internal stakeholders to drive alignment ensuring accurate forecasting
• Manage the day-to-day business including shelf-life management, promotional funding, administrative support and set up of products
• Partner with the product development team and project manager to execute NPD launches on time

Key requirements:

• Previous experience as a NAE / BDM / NAM and someone who is looking for the next step in their career
• Experience in an operational role and/or strong manufacturing knowledge within short shelf-life products (poultry knowledge desirable but not critical)
• Able to work in a dynamic and fast-paced environment with the ability to think outside the box
• Strong commercial acumen along with experience with building promotional plans
• Excellent written, verbal and presentation skills with the ability to interact effectively with stakeholders across an organisation
