About the role
As a Maintenance Officer at Menarock LIFE, you will play a crucial role in ensuring the smooth and efficient operation of our aged care facilities in Upper Ferntree Gully (2 days per week) and Highett (3 days per week) VIC. This is a full-time hours (38) position on a max term contract for a minimum of 3 months with an opportunity for an extension.
The Maintenance Officer is responsible for carrying out a range of maintenance and handyperson duties to maintain the facility's buildings, equipment, and infrastructure to the highest standards.
What you'll be doing
Performing general maintenance tasks such as painting, plumbing, carpentry, and electrical work
Conducting regular inspections and preventative maintenance on the facility's equipment and systems
Identifying and addressing any maintenance issues in a timely and efficient manner
Coordinating with external contractors and service providers as needed
Maintaining detailed records of all maintenance activities and expenditures
Ensuring the facility's compliance with all relevant health, safety, and environmental regulations
Providing exceptional customer service to residents, staff, and visitors
What we're looking for
Relevant trade qualifications or equivalent experience in maintenance and handyperson services
Demonstrated experience in a similar role, preferably within the aged care or healthcare sector
Strong problem-solving and decision-making skills, with the ability to work independently
Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with a customer-focused approach
Proficient in the use of tools, equipment, and maintenance-related software
Thorough understanding of health and safety regulations in the workplace
Commitment to providing high-quality service and maintaining a safe, well-maintained facility
