Towards this aim, we are seeking experienced and highly skilled Painters who will be responsible for preparing surfaces for coatings, applying coatings in accordance with company work methods, cleaning and maintaining equipment and other associated general duties. We offer full-time permanent employment and short-term 3-6 months' non-ongoing contracts. As a Painter you will be responsible for routine painting and coating duties within the manufacturing or warehouse plant, including a full range of specialized projects.

These include but are not limited to; painting/coating structures, performing inspections, clean ups, proper storage and disposal of coatings products and operating various tools and equipment. In addition, the jobholder may assist with daily dispatch priorities, communicating directly with administrative, sales and manufacturing staff to ensure key customer and business requirements of delivery, lead-time, cost, and quality are met. Key responsibilities for this role include but are not limited to:

Preparing and coating a variety of surfaces including, Steel, Aluminium, and other coated metal, uncoated metal, finished hardware, accessories and other surfaces as specified. Apply protective coatings to items such as equipment and miscellaneous metalwork. Carrying out quality checks of coated products when required as per defined processes.

Assist with picking and packing of orders across pallets, cartons, and satchels, intelligently assembling and packing product to minimize cubic freight sizes. Assisting with product assembly using basic hand tools and fixings. Data entry and paperwork - Process and maintain necessary documentation.

Maintain all tools and equipment used, ensuring proper storage Maintain a tidy and safe workspace Comply with all legal and ethical standards and policies, procedures and practices that support daily business conduct.

Comply with all Occupational Health, Safety and Environment regulations, policies, and procedures. Perform other related duties, as assigned for the purpose of ensuing an efficient and effective work environment. Qualifications and certification

Current drivers’ licence (preferred) Current forklift licence or the ability to obtain one (preferred) Practical experience

Demonstrated knowledge of methods and techniques related to sandblasting, preparation, applying coatings and painting in specialized areas and work environments. Methods and techniques related to the safe use, storage and disposal of paint and cleaning products, chemicals, and safe cleanup techniques and practices. Demonstrated ability to use manual hand tools to assemble items
