ABOUT THE ROLE

Title: Disability Support Worker
Location: Northcote + Camberwell, Victoria
Salary: $36.22 - $39.53 per hour + 25% casual loading + super + salary packaging
Employment Type: Multiple Casual Positions

In this role, you will be providing active support to some of our wonderful clients within our Community Support Programs, in Camberwell and/or Northcote. Our clients really enjoy participating in the activities that we have on offer, so we are looking for support workers who are also open to participating in these activities alongside our clients, including; swimming, bowling, cooking and catching public transport to access the community and various events.

You will be supporting and encouraging our clients to participate in a range of day-to-day activities based on their hobbies, interests and goals set within their NDIS support plans.

More about the role:

• Multiple casual positions available
  • Shifts primarily available Tuesday, Thursday and Friday 9am - 3pm
  • Options of additional shifts as required
  • Flexibility of shift times between 8.30am - 3.00pm

Skills and experience required to be successful in this role:

Essential:

• Availability to work across both locations of Northcote and Camberwell
• Passionate about supporting others to live their best lives and achieve their goals
• Experience providing support to another person: Disability, Aged Care, Early Childhood, Community, or Allied Health
• Intermediate computer skills (ie: using Microsoft Outlook, documentation in a client management tool/CRM, Carelink +)
• Right to work in Australia
• NDIS Workers Screening Check / willingness to obtain
• Valid First Aid & CPR.

Highly regarded and desirable:

• A relevant qualification in Disability, Individual Support, Allied Health, Mental Health or working towards it
• Auslan skills.
