Emeco is searching for a skilled local Auto Electrician to join our team at KCGM Fimiston Operations in Kalgoorlie.

In this hands-on role, you’ll work across a wide range of mining equipment, taking ownership of diagnostics, repairs, and maintenance. You’ll be joining a close-knit, highly specialised crew that plays a key role on site, delivering reliable auto electrical services across a diverse fleet of heavy mobile equipment in demanding environments.

What your day looks like:

• Carrying out high-quality electrical repairs in line with company standards, while keeping efficiency and cost targets front of mind

• Troubleshooting and diagnosing faults across a variety of electrical systems on heavy mining equipment

• Working side-by-side with a collaborative crew - jumping in to support other trades and keeping the team moving toward shared goals

What We’re Looking For:

• A recognised Australian trade qualification

• Air Conditioning Ticket (highly desirable)

• Full working rights in Australia

• 3+ years post-trade experience working on heavy earthmoving equipment

• Strong fault-finding skills with solid maintenance knowledge

• A high-level understanding of maintenance and reliability principles

• Proven ability to diagnose and troubleshoot electrical and wiring systems on heavy mining equipment

• Current driver’s licence (High Risk licence is a bonus)

• A hands-on, solution-focused team player who’s ready to get stuck in

The successful candidate will need to complete a pre-employment medical, including drug & alcohol screening, and provide a current National Police Check 🩺
