Registered Nurse- Night shift

About the role

Oryx is seeking an enthusiastic Registered Nurses on a permanent part time basis. Qualified and compassionate Nurse available for overnight shifts on both week Monday/Sunday, who share our philosophy for all shifts at The Queenslea Aged Care in Claremont.

Key Responsibilities:

• Lead the care team in the delivery of care and services, ensuring a consistent high standard.

• Work autonomously and as a part of a team.

• Contribute to the development and implementation of resident focussed care and support plans.

• Provide specialised nursing care, wound care and emotional support to residents.

• Ability to manage time and prioritise changing workloads.

• Provide oversight and mentoring to care staff.

• Complete documentation requirements in accordance with Aged Care Quality Standards and Oryx Communities' policy and procedures.

Requirements for the Role

• Current Nursing (Div1) AHPRA registration

• Understanding of quality care and customer service to residents and their families

• Have undertaken or willingness to undertake COVID -19 Infection Control & PPE Training, Hand Hygiene training and Food Safety Training

• Computer literacy and a willingness to learn new technology

• Understanding of ACFI/ AN-ACC and Aged Care Standards requirements

• Excellent communication and leadership skills to successfully lead a team.

• Current influenza vaccination and full COVID vaccination essential
