• Location – Parramatta (Hybrid)
• Employment type – Temporary full-time, 35 hours per week up to 30 June 2027 with possibility of extension
• Grade – Clerk Grade 7/8
• Salary – $116,981 pa - $129,492 pa plus employers’ contribution to superannuation and annual leave loading

 

Your role

 

We are seeking a motivated and capable Project Officer to support the successful delivery of a diverse range of projects and initiatives. Working closely with project teams and stakeholders, you will play a key role in coordinating project activities, monitoring progress, and supporting project delivery from planning through to completion. This is an excellent opportunity for a proactive professional who enjoys problem-solving, stakeholder engagement, and delivering quality outcomes in a dynamic environment. Your work will contribute to achieving strategic objectives and improving outcomes across the organisation.

 

What you’ll do

You'll support the successful delivery of projects and initiatives by:

• Developing and maintaining project plans, documentation, registers and reporting materials.
• Coordinating project activities and monitoring milestones, deliverables and timeframes.
• Preparing reports, briefings, presentations and updates for stakeholders and senior leaders.
• Conducting research, analysing information and providing insights to support informed decision-making.
• Gathering, monitoring and interpreting project data to track progress and outcomes.
• Identifying emerging risks, issues and dependencies, and supporting mitigation strategies.
• Facilitating stakeholder engagement activities, meetings and working groups.
• Supporting project governance processes and ensuring project activities remain aligned with agreed objectives.

 

 

What we’re looking for

 

We're looking for an organised and proactive project professional who can build strong stakeholder relationships and contribute to successful project outcomes through:

• Experience coordinating or supporting projects in a project, program, policy or business environment.
• Strong organisational skills with the ability to manage competing priorities and meet deadlines.
• Experience preparing project documentation, reports, briefings and status updates.
• Well-developed research, analytical and problem-solving skills.
• Strong communication and stakeholder engagement skills, with the ability to build productive working relationships.
• Experience monitoring project progress, tracking milestones and managing risks and issues.
• The ability to work independently while contributing effectively within a team environment.
• High attention to detail and a commitment to delivering quality outcomes.
• Proficiency in Microsoft Office applications and project management tools.

 

Desirable requirements

• Qualifications in Project Management, Business, Public Administration or a related discipline, or equivalent professional experience.
• Experience working in government, community services or other complex organisational environments.
• Knowledge of project management frameworks, methodologies and best practices.
