We are seeking an experienced people leader to lead our Warehouse & Distribution operations at Ermington. Reporting to the Site Operations Leader, you'll drive safety, service and operational performance while building an engaged, accountable and high-performing team.
This role is ideal for a leader who is passionate about coaching others, developing capability, leading difficult conversations and fostering a strong culture of ownership and safety.
Purpose of the Role
Lead and develop a team culture built on engagement, accountability and continuous improvementCoach, mentor and uplift frontline leaders to build leadership capability and confidenceSupport leaders to effectively manage performance and conduct courageous conversations when requiredDrive ownership and accountability across the operation through clear expectations and consistent leadershipChampion a strong safety-first mindset and foster a culture where safety is everyone's responsibilityLead workforce planning, rostering and resource management to meet operational demandsEnsure warehouse and distribution activities are delivered safely, efficiently and in line with service expectationsPromote and implement continuous improvement initiatives across people, processes and systemsMaintain compliance with Chain of Responsibility (CoR), food safety, quality and operational standardsBuild strong and collaborative relationships with key stakeholders across the business
About You
The ideal candidate will have:
Significant leadership experience within warehousing, transport, logistics or FMCG environmentsA demonstrated ability to build team engagement and lead positive cultural changeStrong coaching and mentoring capability with a passion for developing leadersExperience managing performance and leading difficult conversations with professionalism and empathyA proactive and visible leadership style that drives accountability and ownershipA genuine commitment to safety and a track record of creating safe, high-performing workplacesStrong stakeholder management and influencing skillsExperience with SAP and warehouse management systemsTertiary qualifications in Supply Chain, Logistics or a related discipline will be highly regarded
