About the role
Bayside Health is a public health service delivering high-quality care across every stage of life for close to 1.2 million people living in metropolitan Melbourne, the Mornington Peninsula, Koo Wee Rup, Bass Coast and Southern Gippsland.
We have more than 15 main sites, including hospitals, centres and clinics that provide comprehensive care from welcoming newborns to supporting older people and a full range of services in between.
More than 22,000 dedicated staff are focussed on providing exceptional, equitable, and locally connected care through shared expertise, compassion, and a commitment to continuous growth. Education and training are central to staff development as we encourage all employees to strive and thrive.
Bayside Health was formed following the merger of Alfred Health, Bass Coast Health, Gippsland Southern Health Service, Kooweerup Regional Health Service and Peninsula Health on 1 January 2026.
The Team & Role
In your role as the Disability Services Team Clinical Lead you will play a vital role in providing specialised support for people with disabilities (PWD) who are connected to our health service. This role will be the primary point of contact for individuals with disabilities, ensuring they receive timely and appropriate access to health and disability supports in both inpatient and community settings.
The Disability Services Team Clinical Lead will focus on navigating the complexities of the National Disability Insurance Scheme (NDIS) and addressing the unique needs of individuals with complex disabilities through comprehensive assessments, advocacy, and transdisciplinary guidance. As the Disability Services Clinical Lead you will collaborate closely with health service teams to champion and support the implementation of systemic health service improvements, in line with the goals outlined in the Inclusive Victoria: State Disability Plan 2022-2026 and the Peninsula Health Disability Action Plan 2023-2025.
You will play a critical role in integrating these strategic frameworks into daily practices, ensuring that our health service embraces inclusivity and accessibility. Through your leadership and advocacy, you will help build a disability-confident workforce, strengthen partnerships with stakeholders, and promote co-design with PWD to create meaningful and sustainable improvements in healthcare delivery for individuals with disabilities.
