From our Melbourne workshop, we design, build and finish bespoke photo booths tailored to each client and project. With no two builds exactly the same, our team combines practical craftsmanship, creativity and attention to detail to deliver a high-quality finished product.

The Role

We are looking for a practical and detail-focused Painter / Finisher to join our workshop team.

This is a hands-on role focused on preparing, painting and finishing custom-built photo booths using traditional painting methods including rollers and brushes.

You may come from a painting, decorating, cabinet finishing, shopfitting, building or similar background. What matters most is that you know how to prepare surfaces properly, apply a clean and consistent finish, and take pride in the quality of your work.

You will work closely with our builders and fabricators to take each booth from raw construction through to a polished, client-ready finish.

Key Responsibilities

• Prepare custom-built photo booths and components for painting.

• Sand, fill, patch and prime timber, MDF, plywood and similar surfaces.

• Apply paint and finishes using rollers and brushes.

• Achieve smooth, even and consistent finishes across custom builds.

• Complete touch-ups and detailed finishing work before handover.

• Inspect completed work and correct any imperfections.

• Maintain painting tools, materials and work areas.

• Work closely with builders and fabricators to meet project timelines.

• Keep preparation and painting areas clean, organised and safe.

To Secure the Role, We Are Looking For

• 5 years’ experience in painting, decorating, finishing or a similar hands-on role.

• Strong surface preparation skills.

• Confidence using rollers and brushes to achieve a high-quality finish.

• Experience working with timber, MDF, plywood or similar materials.

• Excellent attention to detail and pride in your workmanship.

• Ability to work neatly and consistently across different projects.

• Ability to work independently when required.

A relevant painting or decorating qualification is highly regarded but not essential for someone with strong practical experience.
