About the role
Trust for Nature is a not-for-profit conservation organisation that works to protect native plants and wildlife in cooperation with private landholders. Created in 1972 under the Victorian Conservation Trust Act 1972 (Vic), Trust for Nature has a proud history of working across the government, not-for profit and private sectors to achieve permanent protection of important conservation land across Victoria.
We’re searching for a highly organised People and Safety Officer to join our passionate team.
Working closely with the People & Safety Manager, you will support the day-to-day operations of our People & Safety function, you'll be involved in everything from recruitment and onboarding, HR administration through to safety coordination, internal communications and learning & development. You'll help ensure our People & Safety processes and activities run smoothly while contributing to a positive, safe and supportive workplace.
This is an ideal opportunity for someone who has strong attention to detail and gets satisfaction from keeping things organised and on track.

The role offers an annual base salary of $74,844, plus 12% super (full-time equivalent).
We are open to full‑time and part-time arrangements, with a minimum of 0.80FTE. We welcome applications from candidates seeking flexible work arrangements. The role operates in a hybrid model, with a blend of work from home and face‑to‑face days based at our Melbourne CBD office.
