Role Description This is a contract, on-site role for a Certified Pilates Instructor based at the Wellness Centre in Wollongong, NSW. The instructor will lead Reformer and mat Pilates classes for individuals and groups, ensuring sessions are safe, engaging, and aligned with the centre’s holistic philosophy. Day-to-day tasks include planning and delivering class programs, adapting exercises to meet varying client needs and abilities, and maintaining a clean, welcoming studio environment. The role involves providing clear instruction, monitoring client form, offering modifications, and keeping accurate records of attendance and client progress. The instructor will also collaborate with other wellness practitioners, support centre events and workshops, and provide courteous, professional client service.
Qualifications

Demonstrated skills in Pilates Instruction, including certified training in Reformer and/or mat Pilates and the ability to design effective, safe sessions.Experience in Group Exercise and Teaching, with the ability to manage diverse class sizes, motivate participants, and communicate instructions clearly.Knowledge of Physical Therapy principles or foundational anatomy and biomechanics to support safe practice, modifications, and injury prevention.Strong Customer Service skills, including a welcoming attitude, empathy, and the ability to build positive, professional client relationships.Relevant Pilates certification from a recognized training organization; additional qualifications in yoga, barre, or mindfulness are highly regarded.Current first aid/CPR certification and commitment to health and safety standards.Ability to work collaboratively within a multidisciplinary wellness team and align with integral, holistic care principles.Flexible availability, including evenings and weekends, and reliability in maintaining class schedules.
