About the role
Seeking a permanent part-time receptionist for a leading specialist surgical clinic in Melbourne CBD who thrives in a fast-paced environment. Preferred applicant is currently completing a university degree or has just completed a university graduate.
Specialist Breast Cancer Surgery and Specialist cosmetic centre located in busy, high-performance consulting rooms offering management of all aspects of breast disease. We pride ourselves in providing exceptional patient care. Our team comprises of 2 breast surgeons, 1 GP, and 2 breast care nurses.
We are looking for the perfect candidate that will be an excellent addition to the team, who can deliver the highest quality service in patient centred care. The right candidate will have exceptional IT skills, be prepared to work in a fast paced, dynamic environment and be excellent at multi-tasking, with brilliant communication skills, positive, adaptable, confident, reliable and friendly. It is a busy and varied role.

Essential criteria

Desirable
Work experience within medical practice and field, desirable but not essential
PASSIONATE ABOUT PATIENT CARE / CUSTOMER SERVICE
Ability to work in a team with excellent written and verbal English skills and ability to communicate well with providers, hospitals and patients
Experience in patient billing, working with health funds, Medicare billing
Excellent efficiency, organisation, prioritisation and multitasking skills
High attention to detail
Reliable, punctual and professional presentation, Ability to work independently
Adaptable, flexible, responsive and available when demand is high.
Dedication to work, be proactive and have initiative with brilliant work ethic.
IT expertise essential, including Microsoft office suite
Able to provide NPC and WWCC
Eligible to work in Australia (permanent resident or citizen).
Preferable criteria
Database management
Experience with Clinic to Cloud medical software
Motivated and innovative
Medical receptionist experience
Facebook & Instagram/ website for marketing, management skills
Experience in breast cancer/breast procedures/breast implants
Qualifications in Administration and/or equivalent experience in a similar medical receptionist/administration role with at least 2 years’ experience (Favoured)
Knowledge of Medical Benefit Scheme (MBS) Guidelines
Tasks include, but not limited to:
Coordination and Liaison with Sales representatives, theatre/hospital liaison, radiology liaison, referring GP
Preparing surgical quotes, theatre booking management, radiology bookings, referral management, ordering surgical equipment.
General administrative duties, scanning/faxing/answering phone calls/ processing payments/ Liaise with bookkeeper and accountant
Personal Assistant support
