What does the job look like?

Linfox’s Intermodal business unit has an opportunity for an a local MC driver with B-double experience to join our team located in Laverton North VIC. You will be responsible for safely delivering various palletised freight locally within Metro Melbourne and will be pulling taught liner and refrigerated trailers. We currently have a permanent full-time opportunity available on day shift working Monday to Friday starting at 5am - 1pm + available overtime. Key areas:

• Deliver palletised general freight on local runs within metro Melbourne 
• Daily prestart checks, including refueling & maintaining truck interior
• Comply with Linfox’s coupling & uncoupling procedures
• Ensure loads are restrained appropriately
• Communicate effectively with other drivers, supervisors & customers where needed
• Commit to Linfox Safety Standards at all times to ensure that Vision Zero is a daily focus

• Open and valid MC licence 
• 3+ years of experience completing local Metro runs within Melbourne 
• Prior experience operating B double's and pulling taught liners and refrigerated pans 
• Ability to manage fatigue – BFM required or willing to obtain
• Knowledge of major Australian cities and/or interstate road networks
• Strong work ethic, customer service and communication skills
