Senior Diesel Fitter / Plant Mechanic – Heavy Earthmoving Plant

This is a depot-based role at our well-equipped Banyo workshop - no FIFO, no living away, no chasing work around the state. You'll be home every night.

Excavators are the heart of this business, and few fleets offer the range ours does from 1-tonne minis through mid-size civil machines to 120-tonne demolition excavators across Komatsu, Hitachi and Cat, including some of the tallest high-reach demolition machines in Australia. Behind them runs a hard-working road fleet: water trucks, and the low loaders that float our machines between jobs. You'll take ownership of keeping both sides of the operation serviced, diagnosed and repaired properly.

Day to day:

• Scheduled servicing and preventative maintenance across excavators and trucks

• Diagnostics and fault-finding on engines, hydraulics and electrical systems

• Brake, driveline and suspension work on the road fleet

• Repairs, component change-outs and rebuilds in a proper workshop with the right gear

• Occasional local field service across South East Queensland

• Sharing your knowledge - if you enjoy bringing younger tradespeople along, we'll give you the room to do it

You're a trade-qualified Diesel Fitter or Plant Mechanic with serious time on the tools - the kind of judgement that only comes from years on excavators and heavy vehicles. You can diagnose a machine by ear as well as by laptop, you work unsupervised, and you take pride in a fleet that's maintained properly, not patched.

• Trade certificate (Mobile Plant Technology, Fixed & Mobile Plant Mechanic, or Heavy Commercial Vehicle Mechanical Technology)

• Extensive post-trade experience on excavators and/or trucks - 10+ years well regarded

• Strong diesel, hydraulic and auto-electrical fault-finding skills

• MR/HR licence highly regarded

• Current driver's licence; forklift ticket, White Card and welding skills all valued
