Part-Time Medico-legal Occupational Therapist

Seeking an experienced Occupational Therapist to join our team on a contractor basis to complete medico-legal Activities of Daily Living (ADL) assessments across Sydney and surrounding areas.

This role would suit an experienced OT looking to complement their existing clinical work or other commitments with a flexible medico-legal caseload.

You will:

• Conduct comprehensive ADL and functional assessments in clients' homes

• Review relevant medical and supporting documentation

• Apply strong clinical reasoning to complex presentations

• Assess functional capacity, care, domestic assistance, equipment and support needs in the context of personal injury

• Prepare clear, objective and well-reasoned medico-legal reports

• Manage assessments and reports independently within agreed timeframes

About You

We're looking for an experienced clinician with strong assessment skills, sound clinical judgement and an ability to communicate their findings clearly.

You will need:

• Current AHPRA registration

• A minimum of 5 years' clinical experience

• Strong assessment and clinical reasoning skills

• Excellent written communication and report writing skills

• Confidence working autonomously

• To be based in Sydney or surrounding areas and able to travel for assessments

• Your own ABN, appropriate insurances, driver's licence and reliable transport

• Previous medico-legal experience would be welcomed, but isn't essential. We're particularly interested in experienced clinical OTs who are keen to learn and apply their existing skills in a new area of practice.
