About the role
Every family deserves the opportunity to thrive.
As a Caseworker, you'll walk alongside refugee and multicultural families as they navigate life in Australia, providing intensive early intervention, preventative support and practical guidance that empowers parents and strengthens family relationships.
Through home visits and family-centred support, you'll help parents build confidence in their parenting, strengthen connections with their children, and encourage positive engagement in their children's development and education.
Your work will have a lasting impact by helping families understand the services, systems and supports available to them in Australia. You'll provide education and advocacy around essential services including education, healthcare, Centrelink and the NDIS, while increasing awareness of Australian laws, parenting expectations, domestic and family violence, and the rights and responsibilities of Australian residents.
This is an opportunity to create meaningful change at a time when families need it most, helping them build independence, resilience and a strong sense of belonging within their communities.
Working to inspire people, enliven communities and confront injustice brings its own rewards, but there’s more.
Please contact Belinda Condon from Uniting’s Talent Acquisition team if you have any questions or enquiries – bcondon@uniting.org using the subject line: Caseworker - Multicultural Family Support - Coffs Harbour enquiry via EthicalJobs.
Please complete the online application form and include a current resume and cover letter addressing the qualifications and experience for this position.
