Role Description
The Mechanical Technical Team Lead is a newly created opportunity based at our Pinjar Power Station site.
In this role you will provide frontline technical leadership and coordination of mechanical maintenance activities across Pinjar and Regional Generation assets. The role is accountable for the safe, efficient and cost-effective execution of mechanical maintenance programs, minor outages, planned maintenance outages and reliability improvement initiatives.
Working closely with Operations, Asset Engineering, Planning and Contract Partners, the Mechanical Technical Lead ensures maintenance activities maximise asset availability, reliability and performance while maintaining compliance with safety, environmental and regulatory requirements.
The role leads a team of Mechanical Technicians and provides technical expertise to support asset lifecycle management, outage delivery, defect elimination and continuous improvement across the generation fleet.
Job Responsibilities
Safety, Leadership & Team Management, by promoting a strong safety culture and compliance with site procedures.Manage team performance, capability development and succession planning.Maintenance Planning & Work Management, key leader in maintenance planning and scheduling activities across Pinjar and Regional sites.Review and validate maintenance work scopes, job plans and resource requirements and collaborate with Planning, Operations and Engineering teams to optimise work executionOutage Coordination & Delivery, by leading the planning and execution of minor maintenance outagesMechanical Maintenance Delivery, coordinate preventative, predictive and corrective maintenance activities.
What You Will Bring
Trade qualification, Engineering Diploma, or Degree in Mechanical Engineering or a related discipline.Demonstrated experience leading and executing maintenance activities within a power generation, utilities, or heavy industrial environment.Experience in maintenance planning, scheduling and work management processesStrong understanding of preventative, predictive and corrective maintenance practices.Working knowledge of asset management principles, reliability improvement and defect elimination methodologies and strong leadership, communication and stakeholder management skills.
