Wickham Freight Lines has an excellent opportunity for a driven candidate to work within an experienced and busy administration team at our Sydney Terminal based in Arndell Park. This is the perfect opportunity to start your career in the Transport and Logistics sector whilst delivering excellent customer service and obtaining administration skills. The successful candidate will be supported by our dedicated Sydney Customer Service team.

This is a part-time position working Monday to Friday between the hours of 10am to 2pm (approx. 25 hours a week).

The successful candidate will be responsible for a variety of administration tasks including:

• Answering, responding and distributing all incoming phone calls, emails, and mail
• Collecting and collating returned paperwork
• Maintaining excellent lines of communication with customers and other team members
• Liaise with our head office team members to ensure that all freight jobs are entered
• Liaising with drivers and subcontractors to ensure accuracy of paperwork
• Producing and checking all relevant paperwork relating to freight collections and deliveries
• Using the transport management system to allocate consignments, deliveries and pickups
• Maintaining records to track miscellaneous activities such as transhipping and storage
• Assist with accurate Pallet management
• Liaise with Office Supervisor and facilitate the effective movement of information and documents between the Sydney Terminal and Interstate Terminals.

Skills and Experience:

• To be successful in this position you will need excellent communication skills, professional phone manner, ability to converse with customers and drivers, intermediate computer skills while also maintaining a high level of accuracy in administration. The successful applicant will have unparalleled ability to multitask, the ability to work under pressure, attention to detail and the ability to prioritise, as these are all crucial to performing this role successfully.
