Specialist Medical Receptionist

About the role

The Melbourne Institute of Plastic Surgery is seeking an experienced Medical Receptionist to join our dynamic team based in Richmond, VIC 3121. This full-time role will be responsible for providing exceptional customer service and administrative support to our medical professionals and patients. Previous experience in managing a business's social media campaign and profile would be highly advantageous.

What you'll be doing

• Greeting and welcoming patients in a friendly and professional manner

• Scheduling appointments, managing patient records and coordinating referrals

• Handling patient enquiries and booking procedures over the phone, in person or via email

• Assisting with the preparation of medical documentation and reports

• Maintaining a clean and organised reception area

• Supporting the medical team with ad-hoc administrative tasks as required

• Managing and implementing social media campaign whilst adhering to APHRA guidelines

What we're looking for

• Previous experience as a medical receptionist or in a similar customer service role

• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills with the ability to liaise with patients, medical professionals and other stakeholders

• Strong organisational and multitasking abilities with a keen eye for detail

• Proficient in using medical software, electronic patient records and other office technology

• A calm and professional demeanour, especially when dealing with sensitive situations

• A genuine interest in the healthcare industry and a commitment to providing high-quality patient care
